Why Winnie Nwagi is Uganda’s best female artist

It is barely two years since she came on Uganda’s music scene and since then, Nwagi’s music most notably her two ground breaking videos “Musawo” and “Magic” have received massive airplay than any other song……even much more than “eno mic ya Ziggy dee” in 2003.
Just like any other career, music takes about some reasonably time to really get into the hearts of many people; it could be a month, a year while some even take weeks and Winnie Nwagi is no exception; with her record-breaking and award-winning hit “Musawo” that was a massive success on both radio and television or even clubs, most people and music enthusiasts had anticipated that Nwagi may not add another “hit” to her catalogue and that she may disappear for good from the music scene. But with her latest release of “magic” it seems quite clear that Nwagi is here to stay.
Nwagi’s videos are exceptional; Musawo and magic exude some degree of exquisite planning, creativity, hard work, energy and vivacity that you may not notice in other videos of especially her female counterparts who think music is all about recording a song in the studio, shooting a video, on some lake or building or mall and that’s all. Nwagi’s carefully crafted and practiced dance moves, her costumes; her curvaceous body and her immensely silky voice  make her a complete package.
With her quality videos, her relatively flamboyant nature keep you at attention right from the start to the end of her music video, and you will watch her music videos over and over again. Winnie Nwagi evidently has mastered the art and the nature of her audience, her music has entered souls of her fans……and with such careful effort, hard work, energy and creativity, it all appears clear that we are yet to enjoy even more of her “magic  magic”.
