We tend to despise people from the lowest setting; such people like taxi conductors, boda boda riders, chapati makers, or even guys that sell vegetables.
But I've come to realize that it's such people that possess the greatest knowledge and analysis of seemingly complex circumstances.

So there's this girl who's become an overnight sensation in the slum where I stay. She's really beautiful, and I can't deny that my mind played some tricks on me the very first time I saw her.
But her beauty has been marred by such stories that she's a prostitute, a whore and desperate soul whose life revolves around sex and money.
So last Saturday I was at my favourite chappati guy. I had just ordered when when the girl passed. So my pride and manly observation sinks in and I find myself telling the the chappati guy how I feel for the lady...... and how she's wasted her beauty.
But the chapati guy told me the wisest statement in my life. "Bwolondola enkoko byelya, toyinza kugilya". That when you want to find out whatever the chicken eats, you may not eat it.
That simple statement has completely changed my outlook. He further told me, if you love someone really, just go for her. Love changes people, love is life-saving. Love is sacrificial, and with love, good ultimately triumphs over evil.
EDIT: I finally talked to the girl. Lord, she's such a kind person who falls victim of circumstances. And I can say our bright is very future.
